Developing evidence-based guidelines for ERS: theory, practicalities and challenges
Symposium Chairs: G. Brusselle (Ghent, Belgium), M. Woodhead (Manchester, United Kingdom)
Aims: The audience will:
- gain an understanding of the theoretical principles of the GRADE approach;
- view a step by step demonstration on how to apply the GRADE approach for producing clinical practice guidelines;
- receive hints on how to manage challenges and difficulties; and
- be given advice on how to interpret evidence tables and recommendations.
In addition, the audience will hear an account of how it is to work with this approach from the point of view of a clinical expert who is a member of an ERS Task Force.
