Postgraduate CourseChairs: Carlos Andres Jimenez Ruiz (Madrid, Spain), H. Marike Boezen (Groningen, Netherlands)
Aims: To review the gene-environment interactions that underlie lung disease and the effects of different exposures that occur at various stages of development (e.g., the perinatal period, youth, and adulthood). How genetically susceptible high-risk groups can be identified and the possible targeted interventions at each stage of life will also be discussed.
Target audience: Paediatric and adult pulmonologists, epidemiologists, health professionals, public health physicians, and scientists interested in the aetiology and prevention of lung disease.
