Obstructive sleep apnoea, obesity, and weight loss

Aims: To provide an update on the strategies that make it easier for patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) to lose weight, the metabolic features of OSA in morbidly obese patients, what to expect in OSA patients after bariatric surgery and the recent experimental studies on the role of hypoxia in obese adipose tissue, with special focus on their clinical implications.
